SUNRISE, Fla. – ILUMINARC® will serve as event sponsor for the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) South Florida Chapter’s Broward Branch meeting. The LEED-Neighborhood Development Design Charrette will be held on July 19, 2011, at TOTO in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
A charrette is an intensive planning session where designers, estimators, contractors, owners and owner representatives collaborate on a vision for a project and identify potential LEED points to be obtained. It provides a forum for ideas and offers immediate feedback to designers with the goal of maximizing the use of sustainable strategies across all aspects of the project.
This interactive meeting will be led by Andrew Michael Zitofsky, LEED-AP. Zitofsky has worked for Dover, Kohl & Partners since 2004 and is certified by the National Charrette Institute as a Charrette Planner.
“As leaders in LED illumination, we are thrilled to be a sponsor for this interactive meeting,” said Berenice Chauvet, vice president for ILUMINARC. “This design process nicely dovetails our corporate view on environmental responsibility as does joining industry organizations that promote green initiatives and encourage energy conservation.”
